Another gem from the vaults. This beat tape is a lil over 6 years old and it is fiya. I don't know why it has taken me so long to drop it, but the wait is over. Just a few smooth grooves (you know how I do), and maybe one or two tracks with a bit of an edge. The album cover is a photo by the great Gordon Parks and it was taken in 1942. Around this time I was collecting a lot of photos and looking at a lot of abstract painting and it was all influencing the production. I'd find an old photograph that I'd like or an old advertisement or maybe an art piece and just create around it, or rather let the influence do what it do. I made a gang of tapes like this and I can't wait to release them all.
